How We Make Money

Some of our guides contain affiliate links. If you click one and end up booking a place to stay, the company pays us a small commission. The price you pay is exactly the same as if you had gone to their site directly: the commission comes out of the company’s side, never added to yours.

Affiliate programs never decide what we recommend. We only link to products and services we would tell a friend to use anyway, based on living in Brazil and traveling around it ourselves. Nothing gets added to a guide because it pays a commission, and if something stops being worth recommending, it comes off the page, commission or not. No partner sees or approves our content.

You’ll always know when a guide is affiliated: every guide that contains affiliate links says so in a plain note at the top of the article, before any of those links, with a link back to this page. This page is the longer version, not a replacement for that note.

As of August 2026, we have one affiliate partner: Stay22, a travel affiliate network. We use it for one thing, and that’s hotel and hostel bookings on Booking.com. Those are the only affiliate links on the site. Every other brand we name, including other booking sites, tour operators, and eSIM companies, earns us nothing, and we’ll keep this page up to date as that changes.

Affiliate links take you to Booking.com, by way of Stay22’s link service, which registers the click and immediately sends you on. We never put a page of ours in between, and the link text always tells you where you’re headed. If cookies are used to credit us for a sale, they’re set by Booking.com or by Stay22, on their own domains, under their privacy policies. guidetobrazil.com stores nothing on your device for any of this.
