Olá! I'm Giovana Repolez, Gio for short. I was born and raised in Brazil and have lived in eight different cities across four Brazilian states, and I've visited many more. These experiences gave me a broad understanding of my country, from regional differences and local traditions to the small details that visitors often miss.

I hold a Bachelor of Education in Portuguese and French from a Brazilian university, and I have been teaching Portuguese as a foreign language to students around the world since 2021. Over the years, I have taught not only the language itself, but also Brazilian culture, habits, cities, accents, and more.

Living and teaching abroad in France and now in Germany made me appreciate Brazil even more. That longing gradually turned into a desire to share my country beyond the classroom as well, reaching travelers in addition to language learners. That’s why Gui and I started this website, and every recommendation we give is genuine. I share here the same tips I would share with my best friend or my students: honest and based on real experience.
