Oi! I’m Guilherme Miranda, but most people call me Gui. I was born and raised in Brazil and, like Gio, I’ve experienced the country from many different angles, from everyday local life to the way Brazil is perceived abroad.

I’m an Android engineer by profession and currently live in Germany. Moving overseas made me see Brazil with new eyes. I realized how confusing it can feel for first-time visitors, especially when information online is either too generic or overly romanticized. I tend to approach travel the same way I approach engineering: I like things to make sense. I care about understanding how things actually work, how to get from A to B without trouble.

Guide to Brazil is basically us putting into writing the kind of advice we already give friends: what to expect, what to avoid, and how to navigate things without stress.
